OPERATION EARNEST VOICE (COOLSTOF)
V2_ presents Operation Earnest Voice, the fourth event in the series of COOLSTOF projects realised by Kunstblock: five art institutions in the Cool district around the Witte de Withstraat.
Operation Earnest Voice is a performative installation that uses social media to disrupt, influence and manipulate public opinion and discourse in Rotterdam. The performance takes place both online and offline, with a group of performers set up in click farm fashion and given control over numerous social media accounts. The offline audience at V2_ will witness the manipulative power of collective social media action at work, as they look over the shoulders of performers carrying out their business of attention-capturing and persuasion.
