WATERWORKS

Last weekend: Water is life. Every living thing needs water to survive. Not only does the human body consist of 60 percent water, it is also essential for producing food, clothing, and computers, moving waste streams, and keeping us and the environment healthy. Yet we lack a sustainable approach for handling this commodity. WATERWORKS shows how artists can help us to think about water issues and how their ideas and proposals can complement science and government policy. The works in the exhibition look at issues such as the time investment required to deal with drought and how collaborating with new nonhuman migrants can help us understand changes in the port of Rotterdam.
