MAMA Spring Swap x CAVE Collective
Last weekend: After two years of being forced to skip this event, we have dusted off and brought back our freshest tradition: the MAMA Swap! This time in spring, because the shutters open! And it was about time! Just like in 2017 (Mami Bricks), 2018 (Howling Pancakes), and 2019 (House of Manawe Keke), MAMA is making its showroom available to a young initiative. Between 26 March and 8 April, we will hand over the keys to our showroom to CAVE Collective, a Rotterdam-based artist collective. For the MAMA Spring Swap, CAVE Collective will be presenting the exhibition In a World Thick with Opaque Complexities. Here, CAVE brings together existing work and new experiments on the notion of transparency. MAMA’s space will present and engage with political, bureaucratic, interpersonal, visual, and sensorial transparency. Through the swap, we offer an encounter with the “cave” of transparencies.
