8 – 10 pm: Friday the 20th of May, during deKunstavond XL, TENT presents Sol Archers publication release of Held by Hands / A Muitas Mãos: K-pop and the social potential of fandom. The collaborative publication brings together personal and theoretical reflections on the constructive potential of contemporary fandom. It is written by young members of the Brazilian K-pop community, spanning experiences of occupying public space through collective dance practices, pop culture fandom as a space of identity formation and support, cultural appropriation in K-pop, K-pop as of soft power, and introductions to the theoretical framework of fandom.
