The Big Homely Space

The Big Homely Space starts from a lived experience of overstimulation in public spaces. Art can have a healing effect, but for people who struggle physically or mentally with accessing public spaces, experiencing art doesn’t come naturally. A visit to a museum can be overwhelming for this group: long texts to read, a cacophony of sound, people– lots of people, and no space to relax. The Big Homely Space shows that the way in which art is shared matters: because if the form is not accessible, the content is lost. More info
